As many of you know, E-Lab Interoperability Navigator (ELN) is a free E-Lab resource that anyone can use to determine which configurations and solutions have been tested and are currently supported by EMC. What many of you may not fully appreciate is the staggering amount of work that it takes to keep this information relevant and up-to-date. Consider this; 130 Engineers working in three different global locations testing over 8000 multi-vendor products. Once tested, these new products can be used to create 20 million configurations and solutions which are then used to satisfy the 2 million queries they receive every year.
A few weeks ago I heard that the ELN team was almost finished with a refresh of the user Interface and I have to say I’m really impressed. It’s much easier to Navigate to the content that I care about, and the new solution based wizard and support envelope intersection views seem like they will be really nice to use. Also, since I spend the majority of my time in the advanced query section, I like the fact that it has faster product selection and is more dynamic.
Here’s a sneak peek, take a look for yourself!
If you’re an existing ELN user, you don’t need to do anything. Starting on Monday April 14th the new site will go live and you’ll get access to the new UI automatically. If you are not yet a user, then check it out and see what you are missing.
